Erika Zarate is a Quechua-Canadian activist researcher, educator and consultant with over 20 years of experience working in the fields of community resilience and human rights. Based in Catalunya, she is vice-president of Peace Brigades International and co-founder of the non-profit cooperative Resilience.Earth, dedicated to training and accompanying local actors so that they can collectively leverage social and ecological change. She is also a part-time professor at the University of Girona and the International University of Catalunya, where she delivers courses on community resilience and regenerative development.
