Awa Caba, a computer engineer graduated from the Polytechnic School of Senegal and a “Mandela Washington Fellow” in business and entrepreneurship, is the co-founder of Soreetul, the first digital platform for distributing processed agricultural products in Senegal. She has positively impacted the lives of 3,000 rural women, providing them with new market access opportunities and improving their incomes. As a founding member of the “Jiggen Tech” network, she has trained 250 young girls in coding. Awa has also established Yeesal Agrihub, an AgriTech Hub that raises awareness and provides training to youth in agricultural and digital entrepreneurship. By facilitating the “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs” program in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, she has assisted 150 women entrepreneurs in Dakar, Ziguinchor, and Saint-Louis.
