Founded in 1969, the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) welcomes
32,000 students a year to its 6 campuses in Picardy, Northern France:
Amiens, Beauvais, Saint-Quentin, Creil, Laon and Cuffies-Soissons.
It offers courses from technical undergraduate diplomas (BUT) to PhDs, in 4
main areas: 1) arts, humanities and languages; 2) humanities and social
sciences; 3) law, economics and management; 4) science, technology and
health.
In its 36 research centers, 760 researchers tackle major societal
challenges through large-scale European and international research
projects. Its internationally recognised areas of excellence include
energy autonomy, mobility, digital technology, e-health, the
environment, agri-resources, the bioeconomy, social innovation, culture
and heritage. As a member of numerous national and international
research bodies (CNRS, INSERM, INERIS, RS2E, etc.), the UPJV
consolidates its position as a leader in these key areas and
demonstrates its commitment to training high-performance managers to
meet socio-economic needs.
