Joel Ferreira de Brito

Joel Ferreira de Brito is associate Professor at the Center for Energy and Environment (CERI EE) at IMT Nord Europe, Mission Officer at CNRS-INSU (National Institute for Earth Sciences and Astronomy)

He received his PhD in 2011 from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, and was a postdoc at University of São Paulo in Brazil (2011-2016), and at the Laboratory of Meteorological Physics in France (2016-2018). He joined IMT Nord Europe as an Assistant Professor and received his habilitation (HDR) in 2024. His main research interests focus on atmospheric aerosol particles, their impacts and sources, particularly secondary formation from gaseous precursors under forested, urban (or both) environments.
