The MOOC ‘Promoting Women to Positions of Responsibility’ is the result of the WE4LEAD project, ‘Women's Empowerment For Leadership and Equity in Higher Education Institutions’.
This is a consortium of nine universities on both sides of the Mediterranean that share a common ambition: equality between women and men in positions of responsibility. To this end, these nine universities have developed a unique and comprehensive approach (consisting of a clear methodology combined with practical tools) simultaneously in the six countries involved in the project to promote a culture of gender equality in higher education institutions. All the partner universities in the project contributed pedagogically to the creation of this MOOC, namely Aix Marseille University (AMU), France; the Lebanese University (UL), Lebanon; Antonine University (UA), Lebanon; Tunis El Manar University (UTM), Tunisia; the University of Sousse (US), Tunisia; Constantine 1 University – Frères Mentouri University (UC1), Algeria; Constantine 3 University – Salah Boubnider (UC3), Algeria; the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), Spain; Sapienza Università di Roma (SUR), Italy; and the project's associate partner, RESUFF (RESEAU FRANCOPHONE DES FEMMES RESPONSABLES DANS L'ENSEIGNEMENT SUPERIEUR ET LA RECHERCHE).
