The MOOC Exploratory Multivariate Data Analysis has been designed for those who, while not statisticians, encounter statistical data analysis in their work. This includes fields such as opinion surveys, marketing, biology, ecology, geography, and more.
Here are 5 reasons to enroll in this course:
Before performing any statistical analysis, visualizing the data is essential. While univariate and bivariate analyses are widely known, this course will show you how to visualize multidimensional data, whether the tables consist of quantitative or categorical variables or even cross-tabulations.
Analyzing survey results requires examining all respondents' answers as a whole. It is helpful to create respondent groups and interpret these groups based on survey responses and additional information such as age, gender, socio-economic status, etc.
Collected data is becoming increasingly rich and can come from multiple sources. You will learn how to organize and analyze each dataset and then compare these datasets to identify information shared across sources and information unique to each source.
Through numerous quizzes and exercises, you will practice the various methods described in the lessons, illustrated by examples. These examples will help you develop practical expertise in applying each method using the free software R and interpreting the results of an analysis.
Enrollment in this course is free and provides access to all materials (videos, tutorials, quizzes, exercises, discussion forums). A paid certification (€60) is also available, consisting of an online proctored exam. This certification verifies your identity, confirms completion of the exercises under exam conditions, and can enhance your resume.
