GRADEO

**What is a GRADEO*?**

GRADEO is a distance learning program implemented as part of the ERASMUS+ EMC-LM (EMC for Labour Market) project of the European MOOC Consortium (EMC), which brings together European academic platforms for online courses.

GRADEO is part of an innovative and flexible training offering tailored to the learners' needs. This offering consists of modular, accumulative, and certifying training modules that can be combined according to the learners' needs during their training journey.

A GRADEO corresponds to a block of competencies = 4-5 training modules = 50 à 100 hours.
The GRADEO certificate, awarded upon successful completion of the assessments, aligns with the common framework for short certifications established by the EMC-LM project.

This common framework implies that the training programs preparing for GRADEO must meet the following criteria:

A total training workload (including time allocated for personal study and assessment) ranging from 50 to 150 hours.
A proven method of online assessment of knowledge and skills that involves candidate identity verification techniques,
Issuance of a certificate validating the achieved learning outcomes in terms of validated competencies and knowledge, total training hours, and referencing the European qualifications framework.

Produced by French higher education institutions in partnership with France Université Numérique, GRADEO enables the development and/or consolidation of professional skills in various fields through short, recognized, and high-quality online learning paths.

With GRADEO, upon completion of the training, you will receive a GRADEO Certificate issued by the training institution to learners who have met the defined success criteria for the program. Depending on the specific mentions defined for each training, the obtained GRADEO can be accumulated within the same training institution towards obtaining a degree (bachelor's, master's, etc.). The acquired competencies can thus be accumulated at your own pace.
